Children at Museum Tekstil’s Batik Workshop

If there’s someone ask me what object that I like the most as a photographer, I would surely answer ‘human beings’. As a huge fan of innocent and expressive faces, the objects of my creativity in controlling angle by angle of shoots are mostly children. In shooting them, I love making them laugh, excite, and do things which later result the expressiveness drawn on each of their faces.

In this event held by Indonesia Kreatif in cooperation with William Kwan and Museum Tekstil, I wasn’t allowed to make them gave me some expressions like things I usually do when I was with children, because they’re busy giving their concentration to the fabric in their hands. Nevertheless, just because there was no children who were free that time didn’t mean I couldn’t make some pictures. As I observe them carefully, the more they concentrated, the more the face told me something in their mind. For a photographer like me, this thought was like a sign for priceless moments.

So, with Nikon in my hand and smile drawn on my face everytime one of them looked at me, these are photos I’ve captured at the event. Tada!
